Adjuvant's Founder Moshe Rogosnitzky is an expert in medical informatics and the applications of drugs for secondary, ex-indication uses. He is also an inventor who has, in a short time, made a tremendous impact on the lives of many patients.
As a scientist and inventor, Moshe’s ideas have inspired ground-breaking research in several areas of medicine. Some of his discoveries include a new treatment option for Crohn’s Disease (proven highly successful and very safe in a clinical trial at Hershey Medical Center) and a new treatment option for prostate cancer (study carried out in collaboration with researchers at the University of California). He is part of a research team that uncovered the previously unclear mechanism of action of Aldara (Imiquimod) – a successful treatment for skin cancers. Due to the great importance of this discovery, the findings were chosen as the feature article for the August 2008 issue of “Experimental Biology and Medicine.” Another of Moshe's recent discoveries involves the use of gallium nitrate to rapidly arrest bleeding from wounds.
Moshe Rogosnitzky is a sought-after expert in the area of personalized treatment of cancer patients. He has participated in VIP expert panels covering pancreatic cancer, lung cancer, gastroesophageal cancer, metastatic melanoma and sarcoma, and has delivered and invited lecture at the Israel Government's Ministry of Health.
Moshe began his career in medicine by heading the Israeli division of America’s leading functional assessment clinical laboratory, studying hundreds of specialized test results and correlating them with the effects of treatments in patients.
He soon realized the vital importance of applying sophisticated personalized diagnostic techniques in clinical practice. These techniques could allow physicians to effectively treat conditions that were otherwise non-responsive to protocol-based approaches.
Rogosnitzky’s expertise was soon sought by physicians and patients suffering from chronic diseases or terminal cancers who had run out of standard treatment options. Over the years, he discovered a number of new therapies for cancer and other difficult-to-treat diseases.
To make this successful medical approach available to all, Moshe co-founded the MedInsight Research Institute. MedInsight's mission is to evaluate the two million new biomedical publications being published each year and make concise summaries of new as well as secondary (ex-indication) targeted therapies available to physicians and patients. Many of these effective treatments are unpromoted due to their lack of profitability. In January 2010 MedInsight launched LDNscience™ in order to advance knowledge of two specific commercially-unsponsored therapies.
Today, Moshe Rogosnitzky continues to consult to patients and physicians on a limited basis. He also consults to biotech companies seeking his expertise in designing clinical trials focusing on secondary applications for existing approved drugs and targeting them at the most suitable patient population.
Rogosnitzky carries out pre-clinical and clinical research in collaboration with several academic institutions. A list of his publications in the biomedical literature can be accessed below.
